This is worth a look. Michael Moss and John Hume make the same claim in "Shipbuilders to the World". The "badly injured" part does not sound right. Captain Rostron was particularly plain in his evidence that the survivors were in good health, give or take a few like Bride and one or two women with minor injuries. Cunningham is supposed to have stayed in the USA.

Anybody got a primary source?

Just a bit to add to What Chris just stated. According to "The Deathless Story of the Titanic", issued by Lloyd's weekly just after the catastrophe, there was only one A. Cunningham listed among the crew saved. And since we know that Andrew testified at the U S Senate Hearings, this must refer to him.

Hope this is of some help.

Best regards,
Cook
