Dear all,
I am truly fascinated by this website and the time and effort all of you dedicate to that ship.
I am a journalist in Germany, writing for a philately magazine. In the next issue we will report on the auctioning of Alice Lenox-Conyngham's letter to her nephew.
I did a lot of research so far. But I cannot find any information on what happened to Alice after she left the Titanic at Cherbourg.
Tarn, I did find out that the owner of a public house in Dublin named "An Poitin Stil" bought Alices letter. He intends to display it in the pub. Therefore it has kind of gone to a museum - to see it, all you need to do is travel to Ireland!
Anyway, I would be most grateful if any of you could provide me with information on what happened to Alice Lenox-Conyngham. Where did she live, when did she die?
Moreover, I would like to know how the four Lenox-Conynghams were related to each other. Mother and three children? Was Alice Eileen's sister or aunt?
I am looking forward to receiving your replies.
Kind regards from Germany
Martina
