Alterations to Titanic post Olympic maiden voyage

Open bay berthing was found on the lower forward decks of Olympic. It's basically a large open room with 20 to 30 bunk beds. Effectively military-style barracks. Cabins would have 2 to 6 bunks.

The Olympic/Titanic plan for third class had two major sections, forward and aft, which were joined in the middle by Scotland Road and the 3rd Class Dining saloon. Aft berthing was single women and families. Forward berthing was single men. On Olympic, there were a few rooms for open-bay berthing (All forward, and mostly on lower decks). On Titanic, they were all cabins - quite the luxury.
