Are many people familiar with the stories of Frank Towers-allegedly survived Titanic, Empress of Ireland and Lusitania? Does anyone have any information on his life? Does anyone believe him? Also John Priest and Violet Jessop-there are some truly amazing stories. It seems some people really are naturally born survivors.

Hello Logan,

I've heard the Towers story. However, there is no Frank Towers listed on the Titanic's crew list; I do belive he was indeed on the Empress, but I am not for certain.

Hello everybody. There was a Francis Toner (fireman, I believe) who survived the sinking of the Lusitania, but no other ship. William Clark, fireman, survived the sinking of the Titanic and also the Empress of Ireland. Perhaps someone later misunderstood this and interpreted it as though one person was involved rather than two?

Best regards,

Peter

Dear Peter,

That's the way I have it as well. There
was a Francis Toner as a Lusitania crewman.
William Clark was on the Titanic and Empress,
but I wonder if Toner "borrowed" his nine-
lives story from him knowing that Toner was
already dead.
Please contact me privately.

Best Regards,

Brian
