Animals which died

Hi all, I was just wondering if there were any animals on board the titanic the night she sank and if so what happened to them? Did they all perish?

Well I read that John Jacob Astor had brought his Airedale named Kitty[weird name I know] on board and when the ship was sinking he went and unlocked all the animal cages so they could get out.

That is just a myth. Some also attribute this act to Robert Daniel.

Hi all, I know I'm a bit late in this discussion, haven't been on here 4 a while, but does anyone know how many animals there were on the Titanic? Someone asked me the other day and I wasn't sure. I know there were some first class dogs, but that's all I do know. Does anyone know an exact number? Thanx! Jessica
