Hello, everyone:
I am a longtime lurker who finally decided to register and participate.
My interest in Titanic goes way back from when I was a child, and my brother would give me books on the great disasters. Obviously, Titanic qualified. I became the family Titanic and disaster "expert" (though far from what I've read thus far here). I got my hands on ANTR, book and movie, and the rest is history.
I enjoy just browsing here, but also am interested in research and publishing articles. An Arkansas Titanic connection, perhaps?
As for any connection myself to the disaster, my sister-in-law's grandfather in Ireland bought a ticket for Titanic, felt "squicky" about it, and never boarded. Unsure how much "legend" that is, but obviously if true, changed the entire path of my family.
Anyway, I look forward to much more browsing and meeting all of you.
Anne
