Another TITANIC should be built

In 1912 we all realize that the material used for the making of the Titanic is not as strong if we compare it to todays. Historians who have studied the Titanic..maybe should think of building another. I mean with our scientists today, and our, good Steel ETC. We can build another Titanic. We still today have many ships that sail, and we use. But maybe building a Ship thats exact to the Ship it 1912 but with our technolagy would be amazing. Another RMS TITANIC. Why not? We have evloved DRAMATICLY from 1912.. Imagine what kind of (titanic) Ship we can have built today? THIS OF COURSE IS JUST AN IDEA, AND ANOTHER SUBJECT TO GET PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT. PLease no put downs. Just post how you feel about this ThreaD. Thank you.

Ok i see that this has been discussed in MANY other threads. Please do not be angry but.. I want to know what you think from my point of view please.

Unfortunately, if we did all that using modern technology, then the thing wouldn't be exact. If we wanted to build her as close to exact as possible, we would have to revive archiac, obsolete, and disused technologies and techniques such as riveting and coal fired plants faithful to 1912, and no ship built exactly the way Titanic was would ever pass current Safety of Life at Sea requirements.

It would also be a money loser of the grandest order since the vessel would be a one off that would have to be custom built and crafted with accomadations that would be unacceptably cramped and uncomfortable by current standards and expectations.

You might want to check out some of those earlier threads you found. Suffice to say, it just ain't gonna happen.
