Arabia shipwreck museum

A museum IO will be checking out soon:

which appears to be the most comprehensive shipwreck museum in the United States and, perhaps, anywhere.

The Arabia was a river boat which sank, laden with retail supplies being shipped to the frontier, in 1856. It was soon buried in silt and, eventually, ended up a great distance from the river, 45 feet underground, with everything intact.

This is an amazing living catalogue of what was available in frontier retail stores. I've never seen anything like it, and look forward to visiting in person.
