does anyone know the names of the 112 victims of the Athenia's torpedoing on the 3rd September 1939???

I think, though am not sure, that Captain Gaillard's book had some sort of list. Probably the best list would be held somewhere like the Imperial War Museum? Voyage magazine just had two lengthy articles about the 65th anniversary of the sinking.

Thanks for that Mike. I'm actually currently awaiting a badge and a cabin class dinner menu from the ship - both of which i bought on Ebay. It's a fascinating story for such an otherwise unknown ship.

I am lucky to have an Athenia lifejacket singed by about 100 survivors. It still has water stains on it. You should be able to order a copy of the Athenia articles from Voyage magazine from
