I stumbled across Andrew Carnegie's autograph in Darwen Library's visitor book put on display to celebrate the Library's Centenary, and I thought an autograph book of Edwardian Notables thread would be interesting.
The Scottish Philanthropist was made Freeman of the Borough of Darwen for his gift of a public library - the first in the north to have open access.
