Hi. I've been lurking on this site for a few weeks now, but when I saw the name 'Juho Tikkanen' on the victims' list, I had to jump in. I don't have a whole lot of technical knowledge, but have read everything I can get my hands on about the Titanic, my interest having started several years before Cameron's movie.

Thank you for the welcomes! I am looking forward to contributing whatever I can to this site, and am also hoping to discover whether or not I am related to Juho Tikkanen. I have traced my ancestors to Finland at the time surrounding his birth and death, but have run into dead ends in attempting to make a definite connection. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
