G'day John and welcome to ET.
I've moved your post into the books forum so that others interested in this topic will find it more easily.
Is the book you're interested in Draw the Titanic by Andrew Staiano & illustrator Jason Pederson? If so, the publication details for the copy I have are: Scholastic, New York, 1999, ISBN 0439076706 (paperback).
While it's a US publication and you're in the UK, you shouldn't have much trouble finding it. Waterstones could have a copy or be able to get one in for you if you don't want to shop on the internet (Amazon.co.uk).
However, it's not a book I'd recommend. There's bound to be much better books out there instructing on maritime drawing. There's definitely more inspirational art works as well, including those of Ken Marschall and British maritime painters.
I'm sure others here will have some helpful suggestions for you.
