Hello Everyone,

Can anyone identify what this box is? I purchased it on eBay a few years ago. It is approximately 7” by 3”. Seems to be a combination of faux leather with a leather strap. White Star Line insignia embossed in the center. There is a label that is difficult to read in the photo.

THOS. W. WARD LTD.
ALBION WORKS. SHEFFIELD.
Telephone No. 23001 (8 lines)
Telegrams “FORWARD SHEFFIELD”

BOX AND CONTENTS FROM SCRAPPED WHITE STAR
LINE SHIP OLYMPIC.

The contents are interesting but their association with the box is unknown. There is a pair of pince-nez glasses with case, a broken magnifying glass, 6 brass buttons with Medic? Crosses, 6 assorted shirt buttons, a small key, and a leather strap that does have Cunard Line embossed on it.

Thank-you,
Stew

That's interesting, could be made from a larger piece and cut down and made into this?
