Calling out the British Brain Trust

Well Old Beans! Here's a quest for a fair damsel. Mrs. Barbara Anderson McDermott, survivor of Lusitania, has not been able to find the grave of her mother, Emily Pybus Anderson (Mrs. Roland) and her baby brother Frank Anderson, aged 6 months. The family is from Darlington. Mother and baby never returned to America after Lusitania. One sister we know about is named Margaret Pybus-there is supposed to be a family plot. The baby may have been born Nov. 1915 and died perhaps in April or May of 1916- Emily may have died as early as 1916 also. The Pybuses were Quakers- Andersons, C of E. Please help us find them- I have assured Barbara Anderson McDermott that we have got the STUFF to FIND OUT! You have no idea what this means to a ninety-year young lady.Keep us posted- this is your finest hour!

Our British cousins come through with Flying Colors -or colours! Good show Old Bean! Just talked to Barbara and she is ECSTATIC to know her mother and baby brother are found. Can't thank you enough. Perhaps we might think about a headstone for them as a project to get involved with here. Am so grateful- as she is too. Her grand-daughter is a keen geneologist and this means so much to the family. Now I must get to Darlington when I come over for BTS and photograph that house. What exciting news- am still taking it all in.
