Campania

Hi

Does anyone have, or does anyone know of anyone who has information on the Campania? I'm looking for stuff like close-up shots of the decks, interior shots and drawings etc.

I Recomend Getting a reprint of The Engineering Issue For Lucania and Campania. it Has Pics of The Interior, Engines, Boilers and Other Such Eqipment, Also Included are Plans Showing The Way The Ship is Layed out.

Hi

Thanks for your input, and the excellent suggestion. Actually, I aleady have that book, by Mark D. Warren. It's really excellent in that it has a lot of supplements that the original issue does not have. I also have the original book, published in 1893. The original book is worth having because the drawings are not split by the page divisions, which means they can be scanned on a large flatbed scanner. The problem with the re-issues is that a lot of information is lost on the double spreads where the pages divide.

I'm now looking for other sources, such as private collections and recently I heard that the is a set of stereo photosgraphs showing a lot of the interior, which I should love to find.

Regards
Jason

I am not aware of any Campania/Lucania shipbuilder reprint . there was a Campania/Lucania engineering reprint though. Also it will be hard to find under $100USD If you want the deck plans or photos of one section of the ship I could scan a few pages in. PM(privet message me about that)-Tom

Try Bookfinder. Simply Type in Campania and Lucania in the Title Section. as for Price Tom is right there. the Lowest I've seen 1 go for was $65, average price seems to be $80-150.

Wanted: Campania / Lucania photos.

Hi Everyone

I'm doing some research on SS Campania/Lucania and looking for photographs. In particular unusual deck photos, or interior shots. I already have everything that is currently publically available, so now I'm looking for private photos and also for those from the Priestley series. I'm interested in both originals and scans. Please PM if you can help, if even if you have anything else on these ships that might be of interest.

Kind regards
Jason De Donno

That's fine that you moved it, but why on earth did did you put it into a thread of the same question I asked nearly ten years ago? Also, can I not merge this account with my old one? Would make sense!
