Captain Smith's former home

I know that the captain's last home, 'Woodhead', 34 Winn Road, Highfield, Southampton was bombed and destroyed in WW2. An ugly block of flats stands on the site.

Old threads indicate a photo exists of the house post-bombing. Can anyone point me in the direction of this image please?

Also, do any pre WW2 images of it survive?

Thanks
Richard

Hello sir,
1598634133764

Here I have some pictures of the Winn Road in Southampton in 1910 (owned by the SEE Museum and supplied by the talented historian Dan Parkes on his website)

This remaining house gives the idea how the house of the Smith family once looked.

I hope this may helps you on the matter.

Yours sincerely,

Thomas

Thank you very much indeed,Thomas. Very interesting. I'd still like to see a picture of his actual house, too, whether pre or post bombing.
