Carpathia's China info needed

Hello Nick,
I do know that Mintons made some china for Cunard during the Titanic period. However, I am almost 100% positive that Royal Doulton did not. I wish I was more "up" on my Cunard china patterns and makers but I fear I am not. One place to look would be http://www.cabinclass.com/ There is a section there on steamship china patterns and I believe some Cunard patterns are shown. Regards, Steve Santini

Hi again Nick,
I have also found out that the Maddock firm made china for Cunard, and, VERY early on in the line's history, (the first decade or so), the china wares were provided by Meakin. Both of these were UK firms. Hope this helps some... Regards, Steve Santini.

It's only that I won a piece of china on Ebay and it had writen on the bottom " THE CARPATHIA " and below that " NIPPON " ( Japan ). I looked up the markings on a web site and found out that this dates from 1909 to 1918 . Still , a very nice piece and I only paid $25.00. Thanks for the info Steve. >
