Casualties during Ship constructions

Hello~,

It is known that eight people have died during the construction of the titanic, a fact which people often mention to prove the Titanic was struck with tragedy from early on. Now I think such horrible accidents during constructions weren’t just unique to the Titanic because there were little saftey measures at the time.

Have other White Starline ships like the Oceanic or the Olympic also counted such casualties during their building process?

Thank you a lot

Harland and Wolff was proud that when the RMS Oceanic was under construction that didn't had anyone dying in the shipyard as the launch day approached, but as the hull entered the water a spectator in the crowd by the name of William Rennie (an engineer from the Malone area of Belfast) collapsed from a heart attack in presence of his daughter and ended the fact that no one died on the shipyard ground during the time of Oceanic's construction.

The Olympic however had a number of fatal incidents during her construction.

Thank you,
William Rennie dying in front of his daughter is so horrible.
