Dear all,

I've been in Cherbourg last week and I took some pictures of the place where was the former "Gare Maritime", "la grande rade", ...

If someone is interested, please tell me and I'll forward the pictures as soon as I get it.

Those pictures would be great! I went to Cherbourg in late April and saw the empty building. I'd like to see what it's like now. My E-Mail address is [email protected]

Access to the "Petite rade" and "Grande rade" (roadstead). The Titanic stopped in the "Grande rade".

These are superb- thanks for posting - not much difference in the last two. I have a poster of Mauretania at Cherbourg at night- I wonder what depth the harbor was to accommodate the big ships.

I read the harbor could accomodate ships drawing 46 feet of water

More thanks for posting those pics!!! I had a ticket Paris - Cherbourg return in March '01 but circumstances prevented me from going.
