I was wondering how many children, 10 years of age and younger were unfortunately lost on the titanic. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Scott:
The back of the book "Titanic - Triumph and Tragedy" by John Eaton and Charles Haas has a full list of every passenger with their age.

Dear Shawn and Mike,

Although the passenger list in "Triumph and Tragedy" is a good source, I would suggest that one uses the list my fellow historians and I compiled for Judith Geller's book, "Titanic: Women and Children First." This list is much more updated, and has more information. A second edition of Judy's book will contain even more data.

Of course, one can simply obtain passenger ages from the wealth of material contained on Phil Hind's excellent website. It may take a bit longer to gather it all together, but it is well worth the search.

Hi Shawn,

a first glance at my various lists show:

43 children of 10 and less were lost.
Of these one child of the first class and
42 of the third class. Of all 21 were girls
and 22 boys.

Besides Betros Seman was 10 and Saiide Barbara
was 18.
