Yeah...just caught it on MSNBC news. The ship is a four masted cruise vessel called the Windstar. No casualties fortunately although the 127 passengers and most of the 97 crew have been evacuated. A few crewmembers stayed aboard to fight the fire which...surprise, surprise...started in the engine room.
The ship in question has been declared a total loss and the company is looking to just sink it (if they haven't already). Windstar cruises looks to loose some money. What I don't understand is that there where rumors that the ship was still salavagable directly after the fire. What changed???
