David Blair not on the list of Belfast Delivery Crew (10 Feb 2020)

Hi all,

Does anyone know why David Blair is not currently (10 Feb 2020) listed as part of the Belfast to Southampton Delivery Crew? Capt. Haddock IS on the list, so I can't understand why Blair isn't. A lot of those listed have 'Delivery Crew Only' noted, so I expected to see his name there.

Hi, thanks for responding.
Apologies, I asked the wrong question - what I want to know is why do neither Haddock nor Blair have 'Delivery Crew Only' on their listing within the Delivery Trip Crew category? (I filtered it using the word "only" and expected to see them both there). I know they were Officers but I think it would be more precise to add Delivery Crew Only to their 'Class/Dept' column. I am aware that they are listed in the unfiltered version.

Just three questions which may seem elementary but just asking for clarification ?????
(1) The "Delivery Crew" : Were only those who sailed on Titanic from Belfast to Southampton ?
(2) The. "Guarantee Group" : Were only those who sailed on Titanic from Southampton onward ?
(3) These were two separate units of different persons ?

Robert, my understanding is that the Delivery Crew related to the crew operating the ship during the short passage to Southampton. Most of them would have returned to Belfast after that trip. The Guarantee Group were a specialist team on-board to correct initial problems that still occur on a brand new ship today. Defective plumbing, heating issues, electrical gremlins, problems with engineering items etc and so were 'fixers' from the ship builder who made sure the ship fully met customer requirements. As such they were two different groups of people.

Thanks very much for your explanations of the Delivery Crew and the Gurantee Group.
That was my understanding of the two terms, but I just
wanted to get clarification from someone more familiar with the subject.
That is the way I have learned a lot on these forums,so thanks again
