This poem tells us of Bruce Ismay's turmoil for the rest of his life.

I had no idea Bruce Ismay might have suffered so much afterwards. Is this poem depicting reality or merely Mahon's opinion on what happened to Bruce?

From my own take on it, the poem describes how Bruce Ismay suffered after the disaster. He was not the same after the sinking and no one dared to utter the name Titanic in his presence.
