Did Britannic furniture wind up on the Belgenland

A chum told me quite a bit of furnature intended for Britannic was put on the liner Belgenland after the Britannic went down.
Is this true? We know quite a bit of Britannic's paneling was auctioned off, but was any of that cannibalised and installed on any other ships? I wouldnt be surprised if some Britannic items found there way to the Olympic.

Hi Tarn,

I don't know about Belgenland but some of Britannic's furniture did wind up onboard the Olympic in the 1920s. Mostly chairs and other bits and pieces.

Just wondering about the Britannic's furniture on the Olympic.

Was it fitted in after the restoration c.1919-1920? Together with the Britannic tiles!

Yeah i think so. There is a nice photograph of the grand stairway in the 1920s that show what is meant to be Britannic furniture.

Violet Jessop also served on the Belgenland, so the furnature wasnt the only thing to come over from Britannic.
