This is my first thread here. Hopefully it goes well.

I read that Titanic cost 1.5 million pounds sterling in the early 20th century or $7.5 million US in the same period. Do we possess the documents to back that up? Do we have statements from companies that provided materials and/or fittings for the ships?

Also, do we have the information on her insurance backed up by documentation? I read that the Olympic ships were only 2/3rds insured, though I haven't seen anything stated on insurance after the disaster.

No I have absolutely no belief whatsoever in the switch theory.

I know this is 7 months late, but :

In Mark Chirnside's 2006 Dissertation, "Olympic & Titanic - An Analysis Of The Robin Gardiner Conspiracy Theory", he devotes an entire section to talking about the cost and insurance issue, including a quote from Philip A.S. Franklin, the American Vice President of IMM, which controlled White Star Line, detailing the company's insurance policy.

You can find it at: http://markchirnside.co.uk/pdfs/Conspiracy_Dissertation.pdfhttp://

hi

Hi no I don't believe in the Titanic and the Olympic being switched because when titanic was sinking she was sending destress calls to the Olympic and the Olympic was scraped in 1935
