'Twas on the tenth of April a bright and sunny day
in the busy town of Southampton I stood upon the quay
There were thousands there beside me
an historic sight to see
As the mighty ship Titanic
was sailing out to sea
I stopped looked and wondered
as the passengers went by
For no-one thought of danger
as they said their last goodbye
'Twas but a few days later
when all on board were gay and bright
When a crash was heard
like thunder in the stillness of the night
All hands on deck the captain ordered
and willingly did they obey
While a message he was sending
just two thousand miles away
We've struck a mighty iceberg
and we're sinking very fast
May God speed you quickly to us
though two thousand miles away
I think a line is missing
plus a last verse
If anyone can help with this I'd be grateful
