Hughes was chief steward aboard the Carpathia when that ship rescued the survivors of the Titanic disaster.

My great uncle Evan Henry Hughes 2nd died on 4/6/10. He was 96 years of age. We had no idea about his family history until his death. I find itt facisinating that we heve a tie to the Titanic.
