He's always suspected the sea was in his blood but after diving into the depths of his family history David Blades emerged with a surprise. File folders filled with black and white photos newspaper clippings birth certificates obituaries and pieced together family trees are fanned out over the Stirling resident's sitting room table. At the centre of all the paperwork is a picture of a 17 year old boy his hair combed and parted his tie neatly knotted and in his eyes a calm determination.
