First class hallways

I was examining the deckplans yet again, when I started to wonder about the first class hallways. I know the walls were made of beautiful wood and the floors were nicely carpeted on B and C decks, but what about the other decks?

I apologize if this topic has already been discussed before. Titanic Adventure out of Time shows the A and D deck first class hallways to be just like the hallways on B and C decks. However, the simple style of the first class rooms on A, D, and E decks made me ponder about this. In JC's Titanic, when Rose rushed down to E deck to save Jack, the first class section there seemed simple as well...your typical whitewashed walls like in second class. Does anyone know what they would look like?

Adam,

There was no carpet in any of the hallways. While the B and C deck main corridors were paneled nicely in white painted wood, and some gilt details on the cornice, the simple first class corridors looked like in the JC movie.

Here's a good thread about the corridors:

It continues here (below), but is largely about the marconi tubing:

The 3D rendering of the boat deck corridor shows what the simple first class corridors (and 2nd class) looked like.

Daniel.

Daniel:

Didn't the JC movie first-class corridors have oriental-type rug running the lenghth? I think I remember that because of the difference between those and the third-class corridors in the movie.
