Hello ET board,
Several months ago I mentioned that I wanted to write up a brief article about the "parallels" (or, as I see it, lack thereof) between the Titanic disaster and Morgan Robertson's 1898 pulp novel Futility. I've now written a draft of the article and have used quotes from some of the posts here on the message board. I would like to know the etiquette/ethics of this: should I approach the quoted individuals privately and ask for their permission? Should I post the draft somewhere where they can read it before I submit it? Your advice is appreciated; thanks.
