Gantry Davits on other ships

Hello there, this is my first post. but anyways.
After the Britannic sank and showed the advantages of Gantry davits, why didn't other ships employ them? they were clearly effective, the only other ships I remember having such was the Windsor Castle (and her sister ship) , and it only had two.
So were there any other ships that employed them, I assume costs, like for the reason why Olympic didn't get them, but I don't fully understand why new designs post-Britannic didn't have them, as another reason why Olympic didn't get them (from what I hear from a post in 2002) was she was already built and without Gantry Davits in mind.
but yeah if anyone could help answer this, please do

IIRC a couple of Cunarders in the twenties and thirties also had the gantry davits.

They were a very good idea in theory, the gantry davits, but they had issues.

• They were expensive to manufacture and install.
• Required a lot of day to day upkeep.
• Were prone to malfunctions.
• Took a bit of time for new crewmen to get used to.

The Britannic, when she was sunk, was at an advantage in that her gantry davits were almost new, according to the high standards of the Ministry of War Transport were well maintained and her the crew were well practised in their operation.
