Do you think it's realistic and disturbing, or too melodramatically over the top?

It's a shame that most people don't know about this tragic disaster, which was New York's worst until 9/11.

I had to read up about the movie. What I thought was interesting is that the movie makers went to so much trouble and expense to make this short introduction to the story.

By the way, the movie is famous because the gangster John Dillinger was shot dead after leaving the cinema. He got more melodrama than he paid for!
