Genuine or fake wood from RMS Olympic?

Hello Titanic Community,

I was wondering how you can tell if a piece of wood, stated its from the RMS Olympic is real or not? Some claim to have a COA, but how can you tell if the COA is legit or forged as well? I just don't want to be scammed but would love a piece of the Olympic. Thank you for any help.

Depends what kind of wood and from what part of the ship it is. If it is for example carved wood from the 1st class staircase it will be easier than a wood piece of decking for example. Also most wood sections had the ship number as well as name and place (for example which deck and what side) on the back side.
