George Henderson

G'day all,

Does anybody have any information on George Henderson? Is he still alive?

The last mention I've heard of him was in Bob Ballard's "Exploring the Lusitania", and IIRC he was in a docco about the ship once a while back...

Anyway, just curious, as there seems to be very little info about him on the net....

Greg, if he was a female, I would consider it far more likely, as females have a longer life expectancy than males. I read the other day that out of the top 10 currently living oldest people in the world, only 1 of them is a male - 110 year old Walter Breuning - and he is at #7.

Anyway, it's possible George is still alive....there just seems to be not much info about him which is why I was curious.

Exactly two, Greg.

George Henderson passed away sometime around (or in) 2000. There was a PBS documentary titled the "Lost Liners" which narrated Bob Ballard's dives to the Titanic, Lusitania and Empress of Ireland. Henderson was interviewed in the film and upon its debut on PBS in April 2000 it was dedicated in his memory.
