Had not visited the Astors Beechwood site for a long time- this is the Newport mansion where JJ and Madeleine were married in Sept of 1911 before their Grand Tour- and home of the Queen of Society, JJ's Mumsie, Caroline. WOW- they now do Victorian Christmas and Murder Mysteries and my favorite- Edgar Allan Poe Day near Halloween. Am thinking I MUST revive my plan to have a Gilded Age Tour up here for us all....Newport has quite a Haunted October to rival nearby Salem. Check them out!
