Hi, all;

Just out of curiosity, aside from Titanic, which ships do you think had the most elegant staircases?

Pictures are a plus, if possible.

I like the Art Deco style of the Ile De France. You can find a picture of it in "Lost Liners". Very simple, yet totally elegant.

Do I need to say more? The -only one deck high- 'grand staircase' from grill to smoke-room in 'NORMANDIE' of the French line!

Wow, the France looks pretty incredible. That's not the S.S. France that became the Norway, is it?

Regarding the Il de France, anyone see the movie "The Last Voyage" with Robert Stack that was filmed aboard her? Kind of fun to see the grand staircase on film.

Gday Jeremy , the above picture is from the 1912 era France and she was a 4 stacker.
