Graves in Ireland

Hi Folks

I'm off to Ireland next month (not looking forward to the three and half hour ferry crossing) I'm hoping to find the graves of the following:

Hanora Healey
Catherine McCarthy
Nora Keane
Margarette Mannion
Nora O'Leary
Daniel Buckley

I have a copy of Senan Molony's book and all the info of ET Bio's and message board - I am looking for any additional info to make my search a bit easier - as it's my first time in Ireland and I hope to see some of Irelands fine country - rather than just its cemeteries (no doubt the cemeteries will be lovely too but...)Anyone able to help?

All the best

Not sure which are correct, but here's a couple of alternative spellings which might be useful when checking inscriptions:

Honor Healy (Nora)
Honorah O'Leary (Norah)
Hanora Agnes Keane (Nora)

Hallo Ian
I do not think you well find any gravestone for Nora Healy, died March 11 1919.
I got this letter from Galway County Library , Galway, Ireland 2 Oct. 2002:
"In reply to your enquiry about Nora Healy we checked the papers and there was no reference to her death. The fact that she died in Ballinasloe Psychiaatric Hospital may be the reason. There was and still is a stigma attached to psychiatric illness. Her family were probably reluctant to put a death notice in the paper".

Greetings to all

Having just returned from Ireland I have now attached the following pictures to my website:

Hanora Healey
there were many "Healy's" buried in Willmount Cemetery - sadly Nora was not one of them - as Arne mentions above probably due to the fact that she died in Ballinasloe Psychiatric Hospital

Catherine McCarthy
Unable to find her grave - but I did find the remains of the shop she used to run

Nora Keane

Margarette Mannion

Nora O'Leary

Daniel Buckley

Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as we did finding them although Rosie had the best idea
