90 years ago today, the RMS Titanic was launched from her gantry in Belfast Ireland, shortly after noon. She would be the largest liner of her day.

Her maiden voyage commenced on April 10, 1912. Four days later, she struck an iceberg about 450 miles southeast of Newfoundland and sank at 2:20 am, April 15, 1912, taking approximately 1500 souls with her.

Her wreck was discovered on September 1, 1985, by Robert Ballard in 12,460 ft of water.

Today, we honor her and the people who built, sailed, and died on her. She was the technological pride of the society who built her, and so we honor them, as well. She, and her time period will be greatly missed.

Happy Birthday Titanic

With the Utmost Respect,

Amen and amen! Couldn't have said it better, David, thank you. At noon our family will be observing a moment of silence in memory of her.
