My dream...I would hope that technology would advance so much more rapidly in the deep sea submersible field, that a pilot and observer could peer thru a mostly entire clear plexiglass sphere, at TITANIC's 12,500' depth. (See: below) Unlike the limited view thru the 9" V-shaped pleaxiglass viewports of a MIR submersible.

[The harbor branch submersible that I am referring too can be seen on PBS's "Sinking the Supership" YAMOTO. BTW, my hero Paul Henri Nargeolet also participated in that exploration and can be seen on the special]

I think some smart egghead is going to have to invent something a lot tougher then plexiglass for a sphere that would be completely transparant yet survive a dive to 12,500 feet or more. I'd love to see it happen though as it may help solve a number of problems.
