I can only think of one good example of English phrases:- Patience is a virtual!
Here is a new discovery for the files!
Brown, H, Fireman, Merchant Service.
He was serving at the outbreak of hostilities and during war was engaged in the "Lusitania" "Olympic" and "Hunspill." These vessels were employed on conveying transports, troops and passengers to and from America and other places. He was on board the "Lusitania" when she was torpedoed in May 1915 and nearly all lives were lost. Fortunately he was one of the survivors, and in 1920 he was still in Service, holding the Mercantile Marine War Medal and the General Service Medal.
