Hello from London, England!

Discussion in 'Introduce Yourself' started by Spencer Luxford, Aug 12, 2018.

  1. Hi, my name is Spencer and I'm from London, England. I'm a mechanical engineer by trade and used to be in the Royal Navy.
I have always been fascinated with the RMS Titanic, especially as at the time, it represented the pinnacle of British engineering and luxury! At lot of the crew hailed from Southampton, which I know well. Also being a fellow engineer, I am extremely proud of the engineers aboard Titanic, whom gave their lives to extend Titanic's life and saved many hundreds of lives by doing so.
I look forward to being on here and getting to know you all!
    Thanks.

  2. G'Day....I'm a retired U.S. Navyman. Glad to see you here!

  3. Thanks Michael!

    Welcome Spencer,
London! Well that cannot be far from Kempton Steam Museum near Heathrow A316 next to Kempton park race course.
Were you can see the world largest working steam engine September 22-23 weekend. A 800 ton triple expansion engine similar as used in the Titanic and in documentaries to. I hope to be there as one of the many volunteers. (nothing like a good plug!)
