Herbert Hensford was the husband of my late father in law's aunt Alice (nee Beck). They had only been married a matter of weeks when he went off on the Titanic and was lost. She never married again, and when I met her in 1968 she had been a widow for 56 years. My father in law also had a first cousin on his father's side of the family who was lost on the Titanic, this was Arthur (Archie) Barrett, who was one of the bell boys, aged 15yrs.
