In the world of book collecting Titanic books are quite inexpensive

As pricy as $3000 for a 1911 'Olympic/Titanic' Souvenier edition of The Shipbuilders may be; or $750 for 'Titanic and Other ships' by CH Lightoller; or $1500 for 'Sinking Of The Titanic' by Jack Thayer; Titanic books are not all that expensive in comparison to other books in other fields, such as fiction, which are much sought after by collectors

First editions of books by John Steinbeck, Edgar Alan Poe, Jules Verne, Charles Dickens, etc, often belittle what the rarest of Titanic books sells for...

So when a chum gloated to me he aquired a rare first edition of 'War Of The Worlds' by HG Wells for 'a mere $10,000', i was left comforted that Titanic books, though may seem pricy, are within the grasp of anyone with a job and a detective instinct.
..$3000 for a Shipbuilders doesnt seem that pricey anymore....
