It would be weird to know she's not there but I think there's something poetic about Titanic turning an organic thing that will live on forever in the iron deposits, the rusticle organisms and deep sea "fog" for lack of a better word. And we'll have the extensive video footage and thousands of artifacts to remember her by. The important thing is to explore her and answer as many questions as we can now, before she's lost forever. For every person who speaks out against exploration, there are 20 more who stand breathless at each new discovery ...

Yes, but unfortunately the detractors are very vocal in their hostility (THS for instance)

Depending on what you read, recent predictions on the complete deterioration of the range from 70-95 years. I think it would be hard to say although I am no scientist!

Even if she is not physically still there, she will be there in spirit. Something like the Titanic will never go away completely.
