Jason, welcome to Titanica. This is the info from the biographies database here at ET:

Mr J Marks, 26, was born in Glasgow. When he signed-on to the Titanic, on 4 April 1912, he gave his address as 93 Livingstone Road, Southampton. His last ship had been the Avon. As an assistant pantry steward he received monthly wages of £3 15s. Marks died in the sinking. His body, if recovered, was never identified.

If his name was John, that's something new. Was he a relative?

Jason,
Here is my printout on Mr. Marks:
Marks, John. Lived at 93 Livingstone Road, Portswood, Southampton. Occupation - Assistant Pantryman. 26 yers old. (Born in Glasgow).
(From: Mansion House Titanic Relief Fund Booklet, March 1913)

Thats all I am afraid - is there anything you can add to that?
