Leaving The Old World

This is a work in progress I am involved in acrylics on canvas board.
It is just gone sunset and the Lusitania is passing seaward of Fastnet Light off south west Ireland headed for New York.

The year is 1912 and the Titanic has yet to sink,hence the the lifeboat arrangements.

...and entering the New World. On a similar note I have a limited edition print of the Statue Of Liberty rendered from the Victorian era. I superimposed a two-page hand crafted B& W broadside image of OLYMPIC excerpted from an American History issue of '85, in regards to the discovery of the TITANIC wreck. However, for personal satisfaction, mocking the framed & matted piece with a caligraphy broadband ...TITANIC'S MAIDEN ARRIVAL IN NEW YORK
