According to the website "Cherbourg Titanic", there was a Lybian passenger on the Titanic named George Joseph Whabee (Female, despite the extremely masculine name) who had emigrated to Ohio in 1906 with her husband for a better life, and had 5 children. Unfortunately, a few years later, her husband passed away, and one of her children, Thomas, fell ill. She was told to go back to Lybia with Thomas, hoping that the warm climate would help get rid of his sickness. Eventually, she decided to move back to Ohio via New York and embarked at Cherbourg as a 3rd class passenger on the Titanic. Fortunately, she survived the sinking and boarded on Collapsible Lifeboat C.
