Amazing. 105 years later, the mysterious legacy still lives on! How intriguing and thought-provoking is this story. And it keeps getting revisited when new information arises, as it has this spring.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on what we could learn from the Titanic disaster. Personally, institutionally, or whatever.

One of the main lessons that we learned from the tragedy, in my opinion, is that mankind is never too great to fail at the hands of Mother Nature.

Yes, the irony is striking, isn't it? Greatest ship ever, "unsinkable," etc. 3 years in construction, gone in 2.5 hours.

Gabriel --

I'm skeptical of the old story, although it makes good reading. Whether it's Titanic or any other major event in history, what "everybody knows" is seldom the real story.
