LIVING descendants of JJ & M Astor

Hey,
I in currently in the process of researching the Astors and just wondered,are there DIRECT LIVING descendants of the couple, as in Great-grandchildren? And if so, are they millionaires? And finally, can anyone help me out in contacting them?:

Several direct decendants were alive as of about 1999.

Madeleine Astor's son was John Jacob VI. (John Jacob V was part of the British line). He died in 1992. He married twice. First wife Ellen Tuck French. His descendents through her and their relationship to J J and Madeleine are--

Grandson William Astor born 1935

Great grandson William Backhouse Astor born 1959.

With his second wife, Gertrude Gretsch he had---

Grand-daughter Jacqueline Astor born 1947.

How you contact these people and whether they want to be contacted is another thing. I could name one person closedly connected to Titanic who gets rather tired of being pestered, so tread warily. I believe they are all in the US.
 
I went to primary school with one of their living descendants.
I think they are Madelines relatives, but we dont know VERY well.
Her mothers title I THINK is Countess Trevonsky (dont know if thats how you spell it) she married "a commoner" a Mr Smith I believe.
Please, if you find anything out (e.g. family trees or anything), I would be most interested.

The person I went to primary school with is Morya Smith, (pronounced Moi-ah) daughter of Hon. Bridget Astor - Countess Tarnowska/Tarnowski.
Morya (I just worked out) is John Jacob Astor IV's second cousin four times removed.
Her uncle is John Jacob Astor VIII, her great-grandfather is John Jacob Astor V, her great-great-great grandfather was John Jacob Astor III and her great-great-great-great-great grandfather was John Jacob Astor.
Her great-great-great grandfather - John Jacob Astor III's brother was William Backhouse Astor Junior and his son was John Jacob Astor IV whom died on the Titanic April 15 1912

i called him on the phone and i told him who i was and that i am a titanic researcher and it was my understanding he was the grandson of john jacob astor. he said that was correct i confirmed by asking "john jacob astor titanic victim?" he said yes and i asked him if he was willing to answer a few questions. he said " No im not obligated to do that." and i replied "im sorry to disrupt your time sir have a good evening." he said goodnight and that was it.
 
Ok i got curious and started wondering who i maybe related to on the titanic if anyone. When i got down to Thomas Andrews I saw there was over 300,000 people within his tree so instead of going through everything i checked the index sadly im not related but guess what. JOHN JACOB ASTORS THE 4TH AND 6TH WERE IN HIS INDEX IM NOT SURE HOW THEY ARE RELATED BUT IM DETERMINED TO FIND OUT. I FOUND THIS VERY INTERESTING MAKES ME WONDER IF ANY FIRST CLASS PASSENGERS MABE SOMEHOW RELATED TO 2ND OR 3RD CLASS PASSENGERS. If thats so those people sat around and let their own family die, Lol.
 
not sure exactly how if someone can help would be appreciated.i went on rootsweb.com searched john jacob astor. and started looking through family trees and saw my ancest Joseph louis crockett who i descend from im like his 9th generation. I descend from joseph louis crockett through his son william d. crockett. and aparently joseph louis crockett born 1675/1676 in donegal ireland died 1749 in roanoke virginia is a relative of john jacob ancestor

any help is appreciated. I know some would say im just another person claiming to be related. I would probably say same thing if he was showing in my family tree but its the opposite my ancestor was in his.

Yes I'm wishing to reach astor ascendants and find out my true ancestory due to my uncovering and unveiling of the knowledge of my grandfather my mother's dad is and was a 33rd degree mason and so was his dad.
