Louise Kink Family Postcard

I have a postcard of Louise Kink and her mother and father that states they are survivors of the Titanic disaster. I was wondering if anyone knew what reason why a postcard was even made mentioning that information. I have mentioned this postcard in the past but still do not know. Is anyone in touch with any of Louises family?

Hi Darren, There is a postcard similar to yours that pictures Eva Hart and her Mother aboard a ship post-titanic holding her new doll.It mentions them as survivors as well. Perhaps yours is from the same series. Can you post a picture of the postcard?

Darren--there was a newspaper article posted on ET from the Appleton Post-Crescent back in early February that dealt with Wisconsin Titanic connections. Unfortunately, the article doesn't seem to be active anymore. The article stated that the Oshkosh Public Museum (currently hosting a Titanic artifact exhibit) had plans to bring the daughter of Louise Kink Pope to Oshkosh to share her mother's story with the local schools. She intended to bring with her items her grandparents carried with them on Titanic.

You may want to contact the museum to find out when Louise Kink Pope's daughter is planning to visit, or how you can get in touch with her. Contact information for the museum can be found at this web site: http://www.oshkoshmuseum.org/

Hope this helps!

Denise

Hi Denise, I remember that article and did read it. In fact, I was going to write to Louises daughter but never did. I appreciate the help. Trevor, I think if Eva had a postcard that it was probably a new postcard. The one that I have was printed shortly after the disaster. I wish I could scan it for you but I don't have a scanner.
